Jenna Talackova, a 23-year-old from Vancouver, was booted from the competition by the Miss Universe Organization when they found out that she had received gender-reassignment surgery in 2010. The organization states a rule that an entrant into the competition has to be a “naturally born” female in order to qualify but Donald Trump, who owns the organization, stepped in to overturn the ruling and the door has been opened for Talackova to be welcomed back into the Miss Universe Canada Pageant, although nothing is official yet. Talakova has all the necessary identification as a woman and she started taking hormones at age 14 before she decided to get the surgery and she has argued that she is not only a woman, but her past doesn’t exactly give her an advantage over her competitors. This is an argument that some have used in the case of sports and the Olympics when it comes to transgendered individuals but it won’t fly in the world of beauty pageants.

Two couples (Disney star Roshon Fagan and Chelsie Hightower, and William Levy and Cheryl Burke) had 49 points, and this is shaping up to be one of the most competitive seasons of Dancing With The Stars ever.

Restaurant under fire for Rihanna themed “Black and Bleu Burger”

A Georgia restaurant is taking heat after adding the “Caribbean black and bleu” burger to its menu, which it joked was named after Chris Brown and , reports the New York Daily News.

“Chris Brown won’t beat you up for eating this unless your name starts with a R and ends with A,” read the Chops and Hops’ Facebook post about the new dish. Of course, Brown became infamous for beating Rihanna back in 2009, when they were a couple.

Outrage ensued, causing the restaurant to state it “does not support domestic violence,” yank the burger from the menu, and agree to donate six times the amount of the sandwich’s one-day sales to a domestic violence prevention group.

Donald Trump’s sons under investigation over hunting trip

According to ABC News, ’s sons are facing more investigations into their African hunting trips as more information has become available.

The trip is currently being reviewed by conservationists in Zimbabwe.

Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump caused quite an outrage when twitter pictures were posted of the brothers posing with animals that they had killed during their 2011 African safari trip. When the Trump brothers were ridiculed for their actions, Trump Jr. took to Twitter once more, stating that “I’m a hunter, for that I make no apologies”.

Trump Jr. may be indeed be a hunter, but TMZ.com reports the independent Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force stated that the South African safari company that the sons went through was not registered in Zimbabwe, making it illegal for them to be partake in such actions.

One photograph in Zimbabwe shows Donald Trump Jr., 34, and brother Eric, 28, standing around a dead crocodile, which is hanging from a tree by a rope.

Another photo shows one brother, wearing a belt of ammunition, holding a knife in one hand and a bloody elephant tail in the other. The dead elephant is lying on the ground beside him.

With the outcry of protests over the photos, PETA spokeswoman Nicole Dao said in a statement, “If the young Trumps are looking for a thrill, perhaps they should consider skydiving, bungee jumping, or even following in their anti-hunting father’s footsteps and taking down competing businesses – not wild animals. Like all animals, elephants, buffalo, and crocodiles deserve better than to be killed and hacked apart for two young millionaires’ grisly photo opportunity. If the Trumps want to help villagers, they have plenty of resources at their disposal.”

In an official statement from Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, they stated that “We are both avid outdoorsmen and were brought up hunting and fishing with our grandfather, who taught us that nothing should ever be taken for granted or wasted. We have the utmost respect for nature and have always hunted in accordance with local laws and regulations. In addition, all meat was donated to local villagers who were incredibly grateful. We love traveling and being in the woods. At the end of the day, we are outdoorsmen at heart.”
